  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: fresh spinach or mushrooms
  • Optional garnish: fresh parsley or basil

  1. Cook gnocchi: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook gnocchi according to package instructions until they float. Drain and set aside.
  2. Make sauce: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add cream: Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add cheese: Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning until smooth and creamy.
  5. Combine: Add cooked gnocchi to the sauce and toss to coat. Add spinach or mushrooms if using and cook until tender.
  6. Serve: Season with salt and pepper and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

For extra flavor, add cooked chicken, shrimp, or crispy bacon. You can also swap cream for half-and-half for a lighter version.
