  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or shells)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onion and cook 3–4 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in beef broth, milk, and heavy cream. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 3–4 minutes.
  5. Add cooked pasta and Parmesan cheese. Stir until well combined and creamy.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce. Add spinach or peas for extra vegetables. Top with extra cheese for a richer flavor.
