  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix (1 oz)
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix (0.7 oz)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 68 pepperoncini peppers
  • Optional: sliced carrots, potatoes, or onions

  1. Place beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle ranch dressing mix and au jus mix over the roast.
  3. Place butter on top of the roast and add pepperoncini peppers around it.
  4. Optional: add sliced carrots, potatoes, or onions around the roast.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours until beef is tender and shreds easily.
  6. Shred beef in the sauce and serve hot. Perfect over mashed potatoes, rice, or rolls.

Notes

The pepperoncini juice adds a tangy flavor; don’t discard them. You can freeze leftovers with the juices for easy meals later.
