  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

  1. Whisk soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, black pepper, cornstarch, and water in a small bowl.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add chicken and cook 5–7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. Pour the sticky sauce over the chicken.
  5. Simmer 2–3 minutes, stirring, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
  6. Divide rice between bowls and top with sticky chicken.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
