- Pour the batter evenly over the fruit, spreading gently. Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg if desired.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, until topping is golden and fruit is bubbling.
- Cool slightly before serving. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
Frozen fruit works well—no need to thaw. For a crunchier topping, sprinkle a little brown sugar on top before baking.
