Description

This Easy Strawberry Danish is a flaky, buttery pastry filled with sweet cream cheese and fresh strawberries. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a special treat.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 68 fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold puff pastry sheet and cut into 4 equal squares.
  3. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of cream cheese mixture in the center of each square and top with sliced strawberries.
  5. Fold corners of pastry toward the center, pressing lightly to seal.
  6. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  7. Bake 15–20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe strawberries for best flavor. You can also drizzle with a simple glaze made of powdered sugar and milk for extra sweetness. Serve warm for the flakiest texture.
