- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar (for strawberries)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: whipped cream for serving

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in melted butter until mixture forms a crumbly dough. Press half into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- In a small bowl, toss strawberries with 2 tbsp sugar and set aside.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread evenly over the crust.
- Top with sugared strawberries and sprinkle the remaining crust mixture over the top.
- Bake 30–35 minutes until topping is golden. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
- Serve as is or with whipped cream.
Notes
Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor. Bars can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
