- 3/4 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: a pinch of salt

- Place strawberries and 1/4 cup sugar in a blender or food processor and puree until smooth. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together remaining sugar, heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract, and salt (if using) until sugar is dissolved.
- Stir in strawberry puree until well combined.
- Pour mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20–25 minutes) until thickened.
- Transfer to an airtight container and freeze at least 2–4 hours, or until firm.
- Serve scoops of strawberry ice cream on cones or in bowls, optionally topped with fresh strawberries or chocolate drizzle.
Notes
For a chunkier ice cream, reserve some chopped strawberries and fold them in after churning. Can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
