Ingredients
Ingredients
- 12 oz pasta (penne or rotini works best)
- 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add sliced kielbasa and cook until lightly browned, about 3–4 minutes.
- Add onion and garlic and sauté 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add pasta, chicken broth, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer 12–15 minutes until pasta is tender and most liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in heavy cream and shredded cheese until creamy and well combined. Cook 2–3 more minutes until heated through.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. You can add vegetables like spinach, bell peppers, or peas for extra flavor and nutrition.
