- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Lettuce, shredded, for topping
- Tomatoes, diced, for topping
- Sour cream (optional)
- Green onions, sliced (optional)

- Cook beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Sauté aromatics: Add diced onion and minced garlic to the beef. Cook 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Season: Stir in smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and tomato sauce or ketchup. Cook 2–3 minutes until well combined and heated through.
- Prepare base: Toast slices of bread or lightly fry potato slices until golden and slightly crispy.
- Assemble tacos: Spoon beef mixture onto each slice of bread or potato base. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and optional sour cream or green onions.
- Serve: Serve immediately while warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, add sautéed bell peppers or mushrooms to the beef mixture. You can also make it vegetarian by substituting ground beef with cooked lentils or beans. These are best served fresh for optimal crispiness.
