  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups uncooked macaroni
  • 2 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: pickles for garnish

  2. Add onion and garlic, and cook 2–3 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in uncooked macaroni, beef broth, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
  5. Stir in milk and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with pickles if desired.

Notes

You can add diced tomatoes or bell peppers for extra vegetables. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne or hot sauce.
