  • 12 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add pasta, broth, and heavy cream. Stir to combine.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and liquid has thickened, about 12–15 minutes.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs if using.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Add cooked chicken, shrimp, or sautéed vegetables for a heartier meal. For extra richness, finish with a splash of cream or a pat of butter.
