- Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté 2–3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in rice, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15–20 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Fluff rice with a fork and serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.
Notes
You can add frozen peas or corn during the last 5 minutes of cooking for extra vegetables. For a spicier dish, add a pinch of cayenne or hot sauce.
