- Check liquid levels; add water or broth if needed during cooking.
- Serve beans over cooked white rice and garnish with green onions and hot sauce if desired.
Notes
For a quicker version, use canned beans (2–3 cans, drained) and reduce cook time to 2–3 hours on HIGH. This dish tastes even better the next day and freezes well.
