  • 23 lbs beef chuck roast or stew beef
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

  1. Place beef in the slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the beef.
  4. Pour beef broth around the beef (not directly on top to keep the seasoning on the meat).
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours until beef is tender and shreds easily.
  6. Optional: garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.

Notes

For extra richness, you can add a splash of heavy cream or a few extra tablespoons of butter in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
