- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp ketchup

- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Optional: 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)

- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and lightly brown pork chops on both sides (optional but recommended).
- Place pork chops in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, chicken broth, ketchup, basil, and black pepper.
- Pour sauce over the pork chops.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until tender.
- If a thicker sauce is desired, remove pork chops and stir in cornstarch slurry. Cook on HIGH for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
- Serve warm over rice, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.
Notes
Use thicker pork chops for best results. This recipe pairs well with rice or roasted vegetables. You can add sliced onions or green beans directly to the crockpot for a complete meal.
