Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak is tender, flavorful, and smothered in a rich onion and mushroom gravy. A classic comfort food that’s easy to make in the slow cooker and perfect with mashed potatoes or rice.

- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper

- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for searing)
- 1 onion, sliced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard

- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Form into 6–8 oval patties.
- Optional: Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear patties 2–3 minutes per side for extra flavor.
- Place patties in the slow cooker. Top with sliced onions and mushrooms.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and Dijon mustard. Pour over the patties and vegetables.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours, until patties are cooked through and tender.
- Serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles, spooning the gravy over the top.
Notes
For a thicker gravy, mix 1–2 tbsp cornstarch with a little water and stir in during the last 20 minutes of cooking. Fresh herbs like parsley or thyme can be added for extra flavor.
