  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for searing)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Form into 6–8 oval patties.
  2. Optional: Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear patties 2–3 minutes per side for extra flavor.
  3. Place patties in the slow cooker. Top with sliced onions and mushrooms.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and Dijon mustard. Pour over the patties and vegetables.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours, until patties are cooked through and tender.
  6. Serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles, spooning the gravy over the top.

Notes

For a thicker gravy, mix 1–2 tbsp cornstarch with a little water and stir in during the last 20 minutes of cooking. Fresh herbs like parsley or thyme can be added for extra flavor.
