Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak features tender beef patties cooked low and slow in a rich onion gravy. This comforting classic is perfect over mashed potatoes or rice for a hearty meal.

- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (extra for gravy)
- 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
- Optional garnish: fresh parsley

- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and form into 6–8 oval patties.
- Place sliced onions at the bottom of the slow cooker, then layer the beef patties on top.
- Pour beef broth and additional Worcestershire sauce over the patties.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until beef is cooked through.
- Optional: stir in cornstarch slurry 15–20 minutes before serving to thicken the gravy.
- Serve hot with gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, sauté onions until golden before adding to the slow cooker. You can also add mushrooms for a richer gravy.
