Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl combine chopped spinach, feta cheese, cream cheese, garlic, olive oil, oregano, and black pepper.
  3. Roll the puff pastry sheet out on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Spread the spinach and feta mixture evenly over the pastry.
  5. Roll the pastry tightly into a log.
  6. Slice the roll into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
  7. Place pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden and puffed.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the roll ahead of time and refrigerate it before slicing and baking. Frozen spinach can also be used—just thaw and squeeze out excess moisture first.
