Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 4 large croissants
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar, for garnish

Instructions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Make the filling: In a bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Slice each croissant horizontally without cutting all the way through.
  4. Spread a generous amount of cream cheese filling inside each croissant.
  5. Add blueberries evenly among the croissants.
  6. Prepare egg wash: Whisk together egg and water. Brush lightly over the tops of the croissants.
  7. Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden and warmed through.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes.
  9. Serve: Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Fresh blueberries work best, but frozen blueberries can be used without thawing. For extra sweetness, drizzle the croissants with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar and milk after baking.
