Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs flank steak or sirloin
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 tbsp lime zest
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin

- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Optional: 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions
Instructions
- Make marinade: Whisk olive oil, lime juice, zest, garlic, cilantro, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Marinate steak: Place steak in a dish or bag and pour marinade over. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours).
- Cook steak: Grill or sear in a hot skillet for 4–6 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness.
- Rest: Let steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve: Slice against the grain and garnish with extra cilantro and lime wedges.
Notes
For best flavor, don’t over-marinate (lime juice can break down the meat). Great served with rice, tacos, or salads.
