- Cream butter and sugar: Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add wet ingredients: Mix in egg yolks and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add dry ingredients: Gradually mix in flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Shape cookies: Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets.
- Create thumbprints: Press a small indentation into the center of each cookie using your thumb or the back of a measuring spoon.
- Fill with jam: Spoon about 1/2 teaspoon of jam into each indentation.
- Bake: Bake for 12–14 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool: Allow cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Decorate: Sprinkle edible dried flowers over the jam centers and drizzle with optional glaze if desired.
- Serve: Let glaze set before serving.
