  • 1/2 cup apricot jam
  • 1 tbsp edible dried flowers (rose petals, lavender, cornflower petals, or pansies)

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk or lemon juice

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar: Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add wet ingredients: Mix in egg yolks and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add dry ingredients: Gradually mix in flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
  5. Shape cookies: Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets.
  6. Create thumbprints: Press a small indentation into the center of each cookie using your thumb or the back of a measuring spoon.
  7. Fill with jam: Spoon about 1/2 teaspoon of jam into each indentation.
  8. Bake: Bake for 12–14 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Cool: Allow cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.
  10. Decorate: Sprinkle edible dried flowers over the jam centers and drizzle with optional glaze if desired.
  11. Serve: Let glaze set before serving.
