- Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and press the edges firmly to seal.
- Cut into rectangles, squares, or turnovers as desired.
- Apply egg wash: Whisk together egg and water, then brush over the tops of the pastries.
- Sprinkle with parsley and sesame or poppy seeds if desired.
- Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
