Ingredients

For the Skewers

  • lbs fully cooked ham, cut into -inch cubes
  • 3 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 small red onion, cut into wedges
  • Wooden or metal skewers

For the Honey BBQ Glaze

  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp pineapple juice
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, honey, pineapple juice, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
  2. Assemble the skewers: Thread the ham, pineapple, bell peppers, and onion onto skewers, alternating ingredients for colorful presentation.
  3. Preheat the grill: Heat an outdoor grill or grill pan to medium heat (375–400°F). Lightly oil the grates.
  4. Grill: Cook the skewers for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally and brushing generously with the glaze until heated through and lightly caramelized.
  5. Serve: Remove from the grill, brush with any remaining glaze, garnish with chopped parsley or green onions, and serve warm.

Notes

Because the ham is already fully cooked, avoid overcooking to keep it tender and juicy. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling. These skewers are also delicious cooked in the oven or air fryer if grilling isn’t an option.
