Ingredients
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers (or hibiscus tea bags)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
- 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–5 lemons)
- 1/3 cup honey, agave, or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 2 cups cold water or sparkling water
- Ice cubes
- Fresh strawberries and lemon slices, for garnish
Instructions
Instructions
- Make hibiscus tea: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add hibiscus flowers. Steep for 10–15 minutes.
- Strain and let the tea cool completely.
- Blend strawberries: In a blender, puree strawberries until smooth.
- Mix lemonade base: In a large pitcher, combine cooled hibiscus tea, strawberry puree, lemon juice, and sweetener. Stir well.
- Dilute: Add cold water or sparkling water and mix again.
- Serve: Pour over ice and garnish with fresh strawberries and lemon slices.
Notes
For a stronger hibiscus flavor, steep longer or add more flowers. For a fizzy version, use sparkling water instead of still water. Adjust sweetness depending on how tart you like it.
