- Mix dry ingredients: Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter & sugar: Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
- Add flavor: Mix in lime zest, lime juice, and vanilla.
- Combine: Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk until smooth.
- Bake: Fill liners and bake 18–22 minutes until set.
- Make frosting: Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, lime juice, zest, and vanilla until creamy.
- Frost & serve: Cool cupcakes completely before frosting.
Notes
For extra flair, garnish with lime slices or zest curls. A graham cracker crumble topping adds a key lime pie twist.
