  • 2 oz vodka or white rum
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 12 tsp simple syrup (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  • Splash of club soda (optional)
  • Basil sprig and pineapple wedge, for garnish

  1. In a shaker or sturdy glass, muddle pineapple chunks and basil leaves until juicy and fragrant.
  2. Add vodka or rum, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice.
  3. Shake well until chilled.
  4. Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice.
