Description

These Soft and Fluffy Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls are a sweet and fruity twist on a classic breakfast favorite. Fluffy dough is rolled with a cinnamon-sugar strawberry filling and topped with a light glaze for a delicious treat.

  • 1 package (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (110°F/43°C)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
  • Optional glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar + 2–3 tbsp milk + 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  1. Prepare dough: In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let sit 5 minutes. In a large bowl, combine sugar, melted butter, salt, egg, and yeast mixture. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
  2. Knead dough: Knead on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Prepare filling: Mix chopped strawberries, brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter in a small bowl.
  4. Roll and fill: Roll dough into a 12×8 inch rectangle. Spread strawberry filling evenly over dough. Roll tightly from the long edge and cut into 8–10 rolls.
  5. Second rise: Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise 30 minutes.
  6. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe strawberries for best flavor. Dough can also be made the night before and refrigerated. Adjust glaze consistency with more or less milk to preference.
