- 3–4 lb chuck roast
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (4 tbsp)
- 6–8 pepperoncini peppers
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Optional: 1 onion, sliced

- Place the roast in the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle ranch and au jus seasoning packets evenly over the roast.
- Top with butter and pepperoncini peppers. Add onion if using.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours until roast is tender.
- Remove roast and shred using two forks, then return to the juices and mix well.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite sides.
Notes
For extra flavor, pour some of the cooking juices over the shredded meat when serving. Leftovers taste even better the next day.
